cannot access iCloud on mac

I updated my iPhone 7 to iOS 11.0.3 and now i cannot access my iCloud on my iMac. It tells me to enter my

apple id and password, then it sends a number code to my iPhone and tells me to enter my apple id and the number code but does not tell me where to enter it.

If you see a password box, enter the password (ABC) followed by the code (123) or ABC123. If necessary, try signing in again to get another password box.
