2014 Mac Mini Sierra - iPad ios 11 - Mac mini ios 9

I have duplicate 3 iCloud drives showing.  I also have 3 duplicate desktops.  In All My Files many files are appear 3 times.  I was advised by Apple that I may have turned iCloud off and on, and that may have caused the problem.  I would like to delete duplicates before upgrading to High Sierra.

I was advised to check each set of folders and files before deleting duplicates.  I am 73 years old and concerned I may not live long enough to review and compare everything.

I would like to know if a Pages or Numbers file in a folder is deleted - does it remain in All My Files?

It shouldn't. All My Files is a smart folder, not a storage folder.

Where is the basic file storage - the mother load, so to speak?

And, is the duplication of iCloud and desktop something you can help me with?
