The charge level will only show as charged after the device is restarted.

Hi. Please identify your iPad model.

Does it indicate that it is charging when connected to power?

Is the time updating in the center of the status bar (top line)?

The model number is MPG82LL/A. I have only had the device for a couple of weeks.

Yes, it appears the time is updating.

The iPad does not show that it is charging when plugged in using the wall charger. It makes a sound when first plugged in, but there is no other indication on the screen or in the notification line.  After charging all night, it will still show the same % the next morning. However, if I turn it off and then restart it, the charge level will be updated to 100%. It seems to actually charge normally and hold the charge properly...it just doesn’t show correctly at the top right corner unless restarted.

It does seem to decrease normally while in use for longer periods.
