Ethernet dongle not recognized once Mac goes to...

Hello,

I have been having an issue with my MacBook Pro recognizing my ethernet dongle once the MacBook goes to sleep. Once I wake my MacBook up again, it says that the ethernet cable is unplugged. I've tried updating the drivers from the product's website and trying different ports but nothing works. The only way I can get my MacBook to recognize my dongle is rebooting it. Once I log in, I have no issues with my MacBook using the ethernet dongle instead of the WiFi. I know the dongle works since I've tried it on another MacBook with no issues so it's definitely my laptop. The only thing I can think of is to do a complete reset but I don't want to for obvious reasons. Does anyone have any ideas as to why my MacBook is acting up?

Thanks.

For testing, try creating a new user and see if the same behavior occurs after sleep.

If it works, then there is something running in your own account that is causing it.

Hey Luis,

That is a terrific idea! I can't believe I didn't think of that I will try that and let you know what happens.

Thanks!
