Do I need to take my Mac to apple?

My Laptop (MacBook 2011) has always been good since I got it but now every time I move it while on it makes a crackling noise and I don’t know what’s wrong. Also it gets really hot and there was one time we’re it smelt like rubber burn or something and I quickly turned off my Mac and ever since then I only use my Mac for like 20 minuets since I’m low key scared lol
