Brand new MacBook Air

Hi,

Please help. - Just bought a new MacBook Air.

Trying to download a 10GB zip folder from One Drive.

At first the download speeds are reasonable (7MB per second on average) meaning the download should take about 30 minutes, however, once the download approaches 5.9GB or thereabouts it just stops and says "The request timed out". When I then try to "resume downloading" the download speed starts at 1 or 2kb before dropping to bytes and then timing out again.

I've tried to download the file about 10 times now (starting from scratch, then resuming the download after it times out).

It's a brand new MacBook Air. It doesn't have loads of software on there or lots of files clogging up memory so I can't understand why this is happening.

Please can you let me know how I can increase the download speed from 200 bytes (surely this is way slower than dial up 15 years ago)?

Thanks
