How can I check or remove malware HQTAG on my computer it is trying to enter safari

Quit Safari (force Quit if necessary)

Hold the Shift key and relaunch Safari

That should clear the Safari cache, where the scare ware is generally hiding

You could also look at the free version of MalwareBytes. It was written by a long time contributor to these discussion forums.
