icloud account deleted now email not working

Hi,

I have a dinosaur iphone 4 which was working fine.  Today I got a message on it to enter my password for my icloud account.  I didn't know i had one.  So i deleted the icloud account and now my email accounts in outlook will not work.  I deleted my email accounts on the  iphone and reentered everything back in.  It still will not work.  I get the  message  "Cannot get mail, the mail server is not responding".  I have all the correct information.  Just added the same accounts into my wife's iphone and it works fine.

Any help would be appreciated.
