S0: BT headphones pair but no audio

My S0 running OS4 successfully pairs to my BT headphones, but when I attempt to play music through he music app, it keeps asking me to choose where to play music. But every time I select the headphones, the watch says it cannot connect.

I've tried several different BT headphones. I've reset and set up the watch as a new one. Issue continues to happen.

Any ideas?

(maybe my S0 is telling me it's time to upgrade)

The following steps may help when using compatible Bluetooth headphones with Apple Watch, having previously resolved the same issue for some other users:

• Unpair your headphones from your iPhone or any other device that they may already be paired with.

• Restart your Apple Watch:
  • Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

• Check that you are following both the manufacturer's pairing instructions for your headphones and Apple's instructions:
  • Use Bluetooth accessories with your Apple Watch - Apple Support

• Try moving your Apple Watch and headphones to a different location, further away from any other active Bluetooth devices.

• Enable and disable Airplane Mode on your Apple Watch:
  • Put Apple Watch in Airplane Mode
