used imac need to remove original admin

I bought an old iMac for my girlfriend, (2009) it came with OS X Lion (was listed as Sierra... which is why I bought it). It seems there’s no way to remove the original user and data so that the computer can be HER computer. The admin passwords are not known, however,  there was no log in needed to get to the desktop. But none of her passwords are recognized because of “keychain” .

 

So in short, it’s an expensive paperweight. 

 

Does anyone know of a way to remove the original admin? I tried to reset and I’m not even able to do THAT because Lion apparently no longer exists!(?)
