Logic Pro x  exporting multiple MIDI channels

I have a project that I would like to export with multiple midi channels.

However this doesn't work.

I have tried the standart procedure of clicking the List Editors button going to the Events List and checking the channel numbers, if incorrect changing the channel numbers in the Track Inspector, going to Function>MIDI Region Parameters>Apply All Parameters Permanently. I have also tried the shorter version ^N.

But when I opened my MIDI file I could see that the instruments where different (I had multiple instead of the regular piano) but there was still only one channel.

I have called apple 2 times now and they don't call me anymore (I should've gotten a call from them about 1,5 hours ago) all I get is emails with links to third party websites with disclaimers in the paragraph beneath the links.

Those links contain the steps I have done over 9000 times.

Is there someone who knows what is going on here?

Is this the limit of logic? Is it a bug? Is there something deep down hidden in preferences I have to (un)check?

Note that the usual procedure doesn't work with me and even apple won't help me anymore.
