From field when composing email not showing

When composing a new email, I do not have the "From" field where I can choose an alias I have created.

Are you saying you do not see something like this - with the "From" row:

Yes, that's what I'm saying. I do not have that From option.

Use Mail's Menu to go to View > Message Attributes. Can you change the "From" setting?

It's already selected, but still no From option when composing a new email. Thanks for your help, by the way.

Was this ever resolved? I've had this problem too. Just now getting around to asking the question.
