.autodiskmounted
After some time, my mac appears to mount a virtual drive of some kind with the same name as my primary hard disk with a single empty hidden file named .autodiskmounted
I can't eject the disk and when I try to start Disk Utility, it doesn't want to respond.
I'm trying to diagnose why my mac locks up when I try to shut it down or reboot. It's acting like it is waiting for something, like a process to stop or a network drive to unmount. This phantom disk seems conspicuous.
Any thoughts?
further, the path is /Volumes/TMBackup. I am backing up to a TimeMachine volume on a QNAP NAS.
