Apple Watch 2 problems with OS4

I recently updated my series 2 watch to OS4. Since updating, text messages aren't reliably alerting on my watch. Further, in the past when I received a text on my phone, I could open my watch messages app and see the messages there. Since the update, if I receive a text, it may not be visible in the messages app on my watch. Lastly, since updating to OS4, if I send a text message from my watch, I get "unable to send" notifications even though the message has actually been sent. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any help would be appreciated.
