How do I update iCloud photos?

I made some edits on my iPhone but they are not showing up in iCloud (only the original, unedited pictures show up). I have tried backing up my iPhone, and this did not change the photos to their edited versions. At the bottom of the iCloud photos screen, it says that the photos were recently updated.

Are you connected to a wifi network?

Yes

If you are syncing with iCloud Photo Library, try Settings/Your Name/iCloud and slide off syncing. Wait a few minutes and then resync. This should cause the entire Library to sync again.

Last resort - have you tried signing out of iCloud and then sign back in?
