Private Browsing IOS 11.0.3

Just upgraded the iOS software on my iPad mini To 11.0.3. I noticed that google search is saving my search history when I’m in private browsing mode. When I open a search on google, and click in the search bar, my past search history is there. I am NOT signed into google and I’m in private mode. In addition, when looking at website data under settings>safari>advanced, there is website data there. Again, I’m in private mode. Any ideas?
