AirPods do not connect to iPad

I pair my new AirPods through my iPhone7. They appear and can be connected to my iMac, MacBoob just fine. However, they do not appear on the iPadPro though all devices use the same iCloud account.

Looking at the Bluetooth setup at the iPad they show up as not connected but cannot connect. They do not show up when trying to switch Audio from iPad to them.

Have already disconnected the iPad from the iCloud account and reconnected without any change.

Using two-facto authorization, perhaps that is a clue.

Any idea?

Hello jpgermany,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems you are having issues using your AirPods with your iPad Pro, even though they work with your other devices. If you haven't already, please unpair the AirPods from the iPad Pro and then pair them again with the steps in these articles.

Use your AirPods
Set up and use third-party Bluetooth accessories

Cheers!

I'm so glad I checked info in support communities again. Once more these threads lead me to some real good info. For instance, I just bought a pair for my wife to use on her iPhone 7 and she was so afraid of them getting lost. I didn't even know we can use find my iPhone to locate and or ping them. Great feature. Some of the best answers and help I've received through the years is in communities. Great stuff.
