How do I transfer data from my old MacBook Pro ...

My 2011 MacBook Pro had a graphics card issue and would not go past the log in screen and since the part needed is no longer manufactured I decided to upgrade to the newest MacBook Pro. The hard drive (SSD) on my old MacBook Pro is still ok according to Apple technicians. How can I go about retrieving the data from this old SDD hard drive? Steps to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.
