How does Apple watch OS4 workout app define bri...

My Apple watch used to capture my outdoor walks from the workout app in my exercise minutes. When I upgraded to OS4 it does not capture the minutes correctly. I read a reply to another post that said it now only creates the minutes that meet the criteria for a brisk walk but does not define that criteria.

So my question is how does Apple Watch OS4 outdoor walk define a brisk walk?

Is it pace? Heart rate?

I am not happy that it worked just fine with Watch OS3 but gives me only 21 minutes credit for a 43 minute walk. Just use time and let me walk at my own pace. My watch should not be an exercise snob.
