MBAir will not turn on with battery in?!?!

Hi All,

I have a MacBook Air that is just not turning on.

I have tried:

Holding down power for 15 seconds - Nothing happened
Resetting the SMC - Nothing happened
Take out the battery, leaving power connected - Oddly it turns on... Thought it may be an issue with the battery, so I swapped it out with another working battery, however, I get the same results.

It is worth noting that the trackpad will click however the cursor will not move...

Any ideas?
