Recent gmails in OS Sierra Mail app deleted
Hi,
I set up my gmail account with the Mail app on a new MacBook Air and everything was fine, however, recent emails from e.g. last week are not in my Inbox but in my trash. The most "recent" emails showing up in my inbox are from 2015. Why did all other emails go in my trash? It is the same when I access my gmail through a web browser or my phone as well. I can receive and send emails without problem, it is just that two years worth of emails have somehow ended up in my trash. How do I recover those?
