Reinstall without using appleID

hello,

i want to sell my old macbook pro retina from 2012 (i think) and i want to fully reinstall and erase everything but i cant seem to reinstall without using my appleID, how can i reinstall without using any of my own credentials?

First you need to make sure you log out of iTunes, Messages, Facetime and App Store using your AppleID. Logging out of Messages will remove the entry in an iPhone's Messages list of Text Forwarding Devices. Otherwise you will have a phantom entry for that device in your iPhone.

Next, you will need to use Internet Recovery to reinstall the OS that originally shipped with your MBP Retina. If you installed macOS Sierra 10.12.4 or above, the firmware may have changed and you may have to restart using Shift+Command+Option+R to boot into Internet Recovery. Otherwise, you would use Command+Option+R for Internet Recovery. See the note below under Reference Links.

After you have booted into Internet Recovery, you should see the OS X Utilities menu. Launch Disk Utility and erase your Macintosh HD volume. Exit Disk Utility and select Reinstall OS X. This will download/install the most current version of OS X that shipped with that Mac. After the install and at the setup screen where you would choose your country, power off the MBP Retina and it will be ready for a new user. Doing this install should not prompt you for your AppleID because you will never go through setup.

** If you haven't already updated to macOS Sierra 10.12.4 or later, Option-Command-R installs the macOS that came with your Mac, or the version closest to it that is still available.
