I have a 4th generation Time Capsule. Is there a firmware update for the recent WPA2 security breach?

No one knows if there will be a firmware update, or even if one is needed, except Apple....and they are not telling.

When Apple makes an official statement or announcement about this, then everyone will know.

In the meantime, if you have time to waste, there are any number of other threads on this forum discussing the topic......with plenty of conflicting rumors and speculation about what Apple will or will not do.  Based on that "information", it is possible to come up with almost any type of scenario.

Best to wait for official word from Apple.

The issue is primarily clients.. and Apple will need to release an upgrade to iOS and Mac OS to fix it.

An upgrade to the router may not even be necessary. Apple apparently said it is not vulnerable.. see quote here.

It is hearsay.. but the article is helpful in saying this is very big in that it has taken down the security of wireless networks.. but of very limited scope in that a hacker has to be in reach of your wifi.
