My MacBook Pro has started running REALLY slowl...

Hey Apple Community!

My MacBook Pro (a late-2013 model), has started to run really slowly.  It did this once before, and this helpful community recommended a scan and then run through like a defrag (from memory, it was a while ago...) thing afterwards.  After i did that it started running like new again, but Ive forgotten the process!

Apologies for my lack of technological skills, Im not tech-savvy in the least!  But would you people be so kind to make recommendations to me on how to get my laptop running well again!

Thanks heaps!

Uninstall the "SecureMac" product and check for improvement. You really don't need any security software on your Mac.

ok, thank you!  I didn't even know i had such a product installed!

Thanks so much for your help SteveJobsFan - i think its certainly running better.

Glad to hear!
