Can I reinstall sierra without cd?
Hi guys,
I've lost my installation CD that I got back in 2012 when I bought my Macbook Pro.
I want to install a SSD hard drive, but realise that I need to reinstall ios.
I've got Sierra installed on it, do I still need the CD or is there a way around it?
Would really appreciate your help. Thanks!
There is no such thing as an installation CD for Sierra.
Sierra can be installed from your Recovery Partition, whenever you want.
So since I've installed Soerra I don't need it? Even if it's an old MacBook?
Assuming that you did a standard installation of Sierra you have a Recovery partition to use. Reboot while holding command and R down to get to it.
