How to prevent a iPad from being iCloud locked?

I'm going to be selling my iPad. I don't wanna mess it up so I have signed out of iCloud and disabled everything, I logged out of iTunes App Store as well on the iPad. I just want to do this right.

Follow the instructions in this support article to ensure that you completely clear your device:

Prepare your device to sell or give away

Cheers,

Even if you think you have done these steps, do

them again one at a time and letting the current step

complete before starting the next one:

After going through the steps that have been recommended to you here, when you power up the iPad again, if it powers up to the Hello Screen, you have erased it completely and correctly.

I'm signed out of iCloud

I signed out of iTunes and app stores.

so should I be ok to do it now?

Yes. Remember, the worst thing that can happen is that you repeat the steps. Like I said, power up when you are finished erasing the iPad and if you see the Hello screen, it was successful.

I'm just afraid I'll reset it and it'll ask me to sign in with my Apple ID.

but I'll take the risk I guess

If that happens, just go through the steps again until it works. I have done this several times using the steps in the support articles. It worked every time.

I dunno if I'll remember the log in stuff that's all. i have signed out of everything on there so it should be fine
