full name shows when clicking "get info" on .mo...

I was going through some photos and videos and noticed that when I clicked "get info", my real name is showing on the videos/photos.

Went ahead and sent one of those to a cousin and he checked on his computer, also a mac. He can also see my real name.

Why is this happening and how can I prevent it? The videos were taken on an iPad Air 2,  which was running iOS 9 (not sure which) at the time the videos were taken.

Where it says "Where from"- I've blocked out in red my real name. Without blocking it out, it would say "my name, iPad". This can be a problem if my fam/friends share my photos/videos with others (which they sometimes do).

“Where from” uses your iPad’s name. You can re-name the iPad to whatever you want in Settings.

When you Export files from Photos > File menu app you also have an option to strip some EXIF metadata info.

I'll try renaming my iPad .

As for stripping  the data in photos on my iPad ...I'm not seeing that option anywhere.

Just checked, iPad 's name is iPad Air 2 ... didn't have to rename it.

Photos > File > Export > Export x Photos... > uncheck the Info checkboxes.

Check on the device in: Settings > General > About > Name.

That’s also the iPad name that should appear in Photos on your Mac when you connect it via USB cable.

Photos > View > Show Sidebar > under Devices.

I'm not seeing this option anywhere on the iPad Air 2.

Should reiterate. The part about the photos/Exif not showing in iPad In photos.
