ipad 2

I am using an iPad 2 with ios 9.3.5 and iTunes 12.7, which is the latest version.  With older versions of iTunes, you could see when apps needed updating,  but of course you can't in the new version.  How do you get your apps updated?  This has been driving me nuts and I've searched until I'm blue in the face.

With my iPhone 7, of course, I have ios 11, which has an app called App Store, where you can update any apps.  Anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks.
