If I upgrade to IOS 11 do I have to update to i...

iTunes 12.7 is a disaster and I want to wait to see if it improves before updating, but IOS 11 I do want on my iPhone 7

Based on current documentation, iOS 11 devices require iTunes 12.7.

You can upgrade to iOS 11 on iTunes 12.6.2 (I have already downloaded

the .ipsw but haven't got the courage to press "Update").

Now, until some does complete the iOS 11 upgrade, I don't know if 12.6.2

will simply refuse to work with iOS 11 devices or whether there will just be

"feature issues".

Just talked to Apple Support, and they say the 2 OS's go hand in hand. So, if IOS 11 then you need iTunes 12.7 and above to have them work together. iTunes 12.7 is WAAAAAAY to screwed up now for me to upgrade to, so I will pass on either upgrade for the present.

Thanks Apple. I now wish I had waited to buy a new iPhone 7 a few months ago.
