Clearing the Emoji keyboard recents

While using the Emoji emoticon keyboard in iOS 5 it piles up the most recently used emoticons on a tab called Recents. Scrolling through the Emoji group tabs it is very easy to accidentally tap emoticons and have them inadvertantly added to the Recent tab. Is there a way to clear this cache?

I deleted the Emoji keyboard and did a reset of my iPad but when I eventually reinstalled the Emoji keyboard the previous 'Recents' were still there.  I would lilke to clear it and start all over again.  Does anyone have a solution?

No, it keeps the last 21 or so emojicons in that folder. As you use new ones it replaces the oldest ones.

To delete just one of the 'Recently Used' characters just click on the character you want to delete then 'press and hold the touch pad down (left mouse click) then press the left arrow key on the keyboard', release the touch pad and the unwanted character will go up a puff of smoke.

You seem to be talking about OS X.  This forum and thread is for the iPad.

How to delete recently emoji's From iphone 6

I'm on Opera  to delete your emoji's all you have to do is hover over the emoji with your mouse you want to delete a X will appear click it & it goes bye bye  I've been trying to delete these & I come on here & by accident  I find it  Hope it will help
