My iPod touch with Version 11.3.0. not playing ...

In the old version, once you chose a podcast show and started one episode, it would just keep playing episodes depending on how you had it set, oldest to newest, or otherwise.  This is not possible with the newest version, all it can play is one episode at a time and you have to manually choose the next episode.  Quite a pain in the asp for sure and dangerous as **** while driving.  What was Apple thinking?  How is this an improvement?  I've heard there are some work arounds for the phone but those don't work for the iPod.  Apple has decided to flip the finger to podcast listeners, must not make them enough money. 

You can add additional Podcasts to the Up Next list and this will cause them to play one after the other. To add an episode to the Up Next list, tap-and-hold the episode and then choose Play Next (or Play Later) from the slide-up list.

Play Next is the only option when it's the first one to be added to the Up Next. Play Later (which adds the episode to the end of the Up Next list) will also be shown for subsequent additions.

Before driving, check the time remaining in the current Podcast and if it's not long enough for your journey, you can add additional episodes prior to beginning your drive.
