How do I eliminate duplicate photos from my library?

There is no built in method in Photos and there are no third party apps for doing this on your iOS device.

On your Mac, you can get spcialized apps, but be careful to get only those that do this thru Photos, not “cleaner” apps that will look directly in the Library files and corrupt it in the process. Two good ones are PhotoSweeper and PowerPhotos.

Just to make sure...

When you add images to Albums or Projects your are NOT creating duplicates. Those are only “pointers” to the one and only originals in your Photos or All Photos libraries.
