I have a message on my iPhone that says

"Approve this iPhone"

Go to one of your other devices signed into iCloud to

approve this iPhone.  Now it is waiting for approval.

What do they want me to do?

Get a 6 digit code on the other device and enter it on the iPhone waiting for approval.

no place on iPhone to enter a six digit code.  Does work the other way.  The computer asked for a code and the iPhone gives it. both are recognized devices, but iphone just keeps waiting for approval.  Mystery?

I've been struggling with exactly this. The phone says "Approve This iPhone. Go to one of your other devices signed in to iCloud to approve this iPhone". So I log into iCloud.com on my laptop but there's nothing there about approving my phone. I'm stymied.

What are we supposed to do???

What if I don’t have access to a trusted device or didn't receive a verification code?

If you're signing in and don’t have a trusted device handy that can display verification codes, you can have a code sent to your trusted phone number via text or a phone call instead. Click Didn't Get a Code on the sign in screen and choose to send a code to your trusted phone number. You can also get a code directly from Settings on a trusted device. Learn how to get a verification code.

It doesn't say Didn't Get a Code.  It says, Can't approve this iPhone?  Then says to Reset Protected Data or Cancel

Here is the screen that is displayed after entering my iCloud password and the device password. 

There is NO place to enter any code.  Why are the instructions provided by apple dictating that you need to get a code when there is no place to enter a code.   The screen instructs the user to approve this device on another device logged into iCloud. 

My Mac is logged into iCloud but there is no way to approve another device!

This is a low point in apple usability.

I have the same issue. I logged into iCloud on my PC. it showed my last login date before I upgraded to 10.3.

Hopefully, Apple can provide an answer on this: Approve this phone.

You will need to contact Apple to get them to provide an answer.

Dear Apple people in Cuppertino Round Building on Infinity Drive...

This is exactly my issue. I am on business trip and need my phone, but it has been pin-wheeling at "Waiting for approval..." for more than an hour. In that time i have updated my iCloud software on my PC laptop, and restarted several times, each time with six-digit codes back and forth between phone and laptop. But that has not been enough to "approve" my iphone. Further: When i arrived at iCloud, there was no button saying "Approve Your iPhone Here", so i have no idea what i am supposed to do at iCloud to approve my iPhone.

!! Help, help !!
