High Sierra Stuck & Decryption paused

Hi,

i am am in dire need of help. Been battling with my MacBook for the past two days after trying to update from Sierra to High Sierra. It paused half way then when I let it sit for a whole night, it gave me the folder &questin mark.

Tried to decrypt and now its stuck at 10% and paused...

I created a usb boot of High Sierra. Booted it up and tried to repair my Macintosh HD with First Aid but i keep getting an error “”ERSB_FLAG_PAUSED.....” after completing.

I tried using terminal, doing all that diskutil APFS unlockvolume and update preboot stuff, and just get that error of No directory user error.

i have no clue what to do next..i feel like I’ve done everything. And I don’t want to reformat —if anything id finish the decryption so I can install High Sierra them turn on encryption again.. ughhhhh
