Hi! After backing up photos to icloud some 200 ...

Hello,

In the last few days was the first time I've tried backing up my photos to iCloud Photo Library. It was done throughout the last week in several locations with a questionable WiFi (was on vacation - hence the huge amount of photos and bad wifi). It did not work well, until I got home and finished it on my home network.
HOWEVER - I noticed that many of the photos DISAPPEARED from both my library on the iPhone and in the iCloud!
Can anybody help me with that?

Luckily enough - I've backed them up to my PC and to Google Photos so they're not lost - but I want them on my iPhone as well.

Please assist!

Hi,

I had a similar problem (in another thread), that ended deleting photos after activating and deactivating iCloud. iCloud doesn't seem to be the most reliable backup system...

If you have them stored in Google Photos I think you are lucky because the service stores even the live part.

If you download all the missing photos from Google Photos in the iPhone they should be restored. Don't they?

Regards.

I can see them in the google photos - but not sure how to restore the missing ones (and only them) to the iphone. I think that would be the best option now.

So are you saying that in the iphone environment I've lost it?

DO you see a Recently Deleted album in either location?

Go to he Google P hotos app in the iPhone and download them. They should appear in the camera roll.

This thread could help you:

Google Groups

If you can't see the photos in the photos app try to look for them in the Recently Deleted (as Eric Root suggested), other albums, ... Check that they are not hidden, too.
