I want to delete a cloud

My mac book has a default email of xxxxx@me.com

I do not use this account anymore and want to use my xxxxxx@gmail.com  as default.  I go to settings to manage and it will not load because there is a problem with the xxxxx@me.com account.  I just want to delete the entire xxxxx@me.com cloud and use my xxxxxx@gmail.com  as my mac book cloud.

Sorry, but you can't change your Apple ID's email address if that address ends in either: @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com. If you want to use @gmail.com you will need to create a new Apple ID.
