adapters New Macbook Pro

I just spend over $1,500 on a new Macbook Pro. I am dismayed to see that it now only has two usb c ports. Why does Apple keep changing the ports on these machines every year? Am I supposed to now carry around a keychain of Mac adapters with me everywhere I go?

Change this business model, Apple. Please.
