problems with loading from

Hello,

I accidentally deleted my whatsapp on my iPhone (Model 5s iOS, version 10.3.2) and had to download it again. I cannot access my whatsapp at all and go to history and select restore, instead it is prompting me to restore my history from the iCloud. There is the symbol of a cloud and inside the cloud is a three quarter circle not quite closed with an arrow at the end before it completes the circle, it says 'loading' to the right but nothing is happening. I have tried to turn my phone off and back on but it does not change anything. The only option highlighted for me to select is the word 'skip', the option of 'restore' is in pale grey and does not allow me to select it. When I press skip it comes up with a warning 'Are you sure you want to skip restoring from the iCloud? if you don't restore now, you won't be able to restore later'.

Can someone please help me as I need to restore my whatsapp history.
