Device locked with Activation Lock

Bought an ipad mini on ebay and it is Activation Locked after updating ios. It also does ghost touching.

You need to contact the seller and ask him to remove this iPhone from his list of devices. Otherwise, your iPhone will be a useless brick.

Have the same problem yet I can't contact the original owner. What do I do??

Contact the owner. It is the only possible solution.

If the iPad was not advertised as Activation Locked, immediately start a claim

with eBay to get your money back. There is no workaround for Activation Lock -

the iPad is useless and will remain so until/unless the person who initiated the

Activation Lock removes it.

If you get no reply or satisfaction from the seller, there's a good chance the device is lost or stolen from the genuine previous owner. Besides initiating the claim, the seller should also be reported.

i am the 1st owner . but i dont have remember my apple id . i want to unlock . it always show activation lock. how can i re solve this prob

If you can't remember your id have you tried : If you forgot your Apple ID - Apple Support ?

Or, and as you say that you were the original purchaser of the iPad (i.e. it wasn’t bought used), you could try going to an Apple Store (make a Genius Bar appointment if you do) or try contacting iTunes Support online (https://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html) and see if they can remove the iPad from the account - they are likely to want to see proof of ownership before they might help e.g. original receipt with the serial number on it

Yes, they figured out that, unless they were able to contact the original owner, they had a useless device.

but what if i have no idea how to contact him

You won't be able to re-activate the iPad if you can't find the person whose account it's locked to - nobody on here, nor Apple, can help find him or remove activation lock

as long as you have the details such as the first and last name DoB and security question your fine

The person to whom you're replying was not the original owner. They didn't have that information.
