lost song

I went to play one of my favorite songs on my iphone 7, and it was just not there, I have listened to this song for months. I know how the whole song goes, but it was just not anywhere on my phone. I even keyed up my receipt in my inbox and it shows that I did not purchase it, but I know I had this song, I know I did. My sister liked it too. How do I get it back? Did it somehow download it accidentally without my buying it? Do I have to buy it again?
