macbook & broadband/wifi

hello all,

i am just plain confused!

i have been using mobile broadband 3G which has been absolutely fine. my only problem is the site i am using to download TV shows is rubbish. This is my main problem i think not actual wifi as such. (i used to use a site where you find the TV show then put in the link and it downloaded the show, which for me is excellent so i don't have to watch online and use up my mobile broadband credit. this time half the time it was an error so got fed up and used another site where i had to watch online) i went on a tangent and i've been looking into broadband & phone deals because my phone provider disbanded and the PO is covering my phone for now.

basically i am away from home working & adult ed in eves so i'm home late x4/wk. so i'm looking for a mobile broadband device that is a bit quicker like 4G. many of the deals are £19 - 20+ per month. As i use about £8 - £10 per month is it worth it.

i am trying to get my Macbook Pro into a media centre for my new flat. i do like downloading tv shows.

i hope this makes sense. any and all advice is very welcome.
