Macbook Pro getting hot while running chess

I've been playing the chess game that was included with my Macbook Pro and have noticed that it gets hot to the touch while playing.  It does not heat up to the point where I can't touch it, but warmer than anything else I do with it. Is this normal or could there possibly be something wrong with my computer?
