Macbook pro hinge making a popping sound and ge...

Recently I have noticed that my 13 inch macbook pro retina hinge have been making poping noises whenever I open the lid. The aggressiveness of the sound seems to vary from time to time and I have noticed that it had been getting worse since I got the issue about a month ago, to the extent that the lid would sometimes get stuck and I have force open it and it will make a very loud pop.

So what are my options now to get this fixed, I hope that the repair doesn't cost too much. Has anybody had this issue before and tried sending for a fix or fixed it himself?

Only a person who can examine the MBP can give you a valid assessment to what will be involved in fixing the problem.  No one here can do so based on your verbal description.

Your best option is an appointment at an Apple store genius bar for a FREE evaluation.  Any repair costs will be presented to your for your approval or rejection.

I also have the same issue with my Macbook Pro 2015, I noticed the noise about a month ago but its gradually been getting worse. The noise is usually the loudest if I close the screen slowly. I'm taking it into the apple store next week, I still have apple care on it so it shouldn't cost anything. Fingers crossed.
