App size different on iPad3 and iPad mini

Hi all

Confused here.

I have two ipads as above and noticed on the iPad mini that the storage memory size for mail is 2.75G. Seemed quite a lot so I deleted all messages, sent and received. This made very little difference.

I use the same gmail account on both ipads, so I checked the storage level on the iPad3 and it says 10.2MB !

Any ideas as to why it is so different? I have noticed minor differences in other apps sizes on both ipads, I noticed that Spotify is 550.7MB on the iPad mini and 83.2MB on the iPad3.

I  tried deleting the Spotify app on the mini but it still showed up in the storage section as 550.7MB. I did manage to delete Spotify from within the storage section and it did then disappear.

The main part of my query though is the discrepancy in mail storage sizes.

Help please?
