Adobe Bridge

Recently my Adobe Bridge will unexpectedly and randomly crash when I try to open subfolders. Now it will launch and then immediately crash. I'm running Adobe CS4.  I hesitate to upgrade the OS since I understand that it will not support my CS4 - and I'm not ready to upgrade that software.

If you have a mounted volume named users this will cause the bridge to crash.

 

you can try to remove the application preferences or reset them by launching bridge from the applications folder holding down SHIFT+ALT+OPT+CMD, this will not work on alias' or from the dock.

 

failing that you can create a new admin account and boot into that account or remove the suite and reinstall it.

 

Adobe stopped support for CS4 with OS X 10.5.4. Any solution with a variant of OS X after 10.5.4 may be temporary or sporadic.
