Resizing a JPEG image using Preview. What is th...
I am trying to reduce the size of JPEG images for a website I am building. I am advised that for page loading speed, the images need to be around 100KB.
Within Preview, I select Tools>Adjust size. I then reduce the image to 72 pixels/inch. According to the Adjust size tool within Preview, the size is 117KB. However when I look at the file for that JPEG in Finder, the size is 511KB.
What is the size of the resized image above that I will upload to my website? 117KB, or 511KB?
