I would like to disable the ability to access control center within apps on an iPad running iOS 11. I understand that control center is part of the app switching interface in iOS 11, but i do not need to switch apps either. I could run guided access, but setting this up on all the iPads for my clients would be very time consuming, and unfortunately I do not have the ability to manage their devices through MDM for them. This was a useful feature for me in iOS 10, hopefully it is not gone forever!

As far as I know, it is an iPhone only feature now. There have been a few discusssions about this and that seems to be the consensus. Of course, Apple says nothing about it in the iPad online user guide that I could find.
