Why is the latest iTunes such a piece of garbage?

I'm generally not one to complain; I've been using Macs since the mid-1980s and have always been an Apple devotee, but I gotta say Apple has gone off the rails in so many ways that I am almost ready to jump ship. Not only have they messed up the Mac Pro and MacBook Pro with limited expandability, they began making a mess of iTunes some years ago. ITunes was fine and then, what? They had some programmers sitting around with nothing to do, so do something? Change iTunes.

It's garbage! It doesn't synch properly with my (latest model) 64GB iPod. It has several times erased everything and started re-synching all my playlists. It has just now created 7 additional versions of a playlist and numbered them 1-7, each with a different number of songs, and it says it has synched all 40+GB of music but on my iPod there's only about 9GB.

The interface is awful, not intuitive as it used to be. If I had more time I'd go into all the details of why it is a big pile of dog *****. I'm sure many people share the same opinion and anyone that likes the current (past 3 or 4 versions) must not remember the elegance of iTunes 4 and how well it actually worked and how easy it was to navigate.

Get it together Apple!

Why not report your thoughts to itunes feedback?   And be gentle with them.

I personally don't like the interface of the new iTunes as well, but the best thing you can do is to send your feedback directly to Apple using this link: Product Feedback - Apple because here we're users like and we can't do anything for changing the product!

Got it, thanks! Like I said I don't complain so am not aware of the proper place to do so. I'm sure it will fall on deaf ears as they have probably heard similar complaints from other users. Just had to vent! Thanks.

We all have moments of pique with Apple, iTunes, Government, but a constructive comment tinged with a touch of humour does get listened to, I find.   Thanks for the star.
