iMessage suddenly not able to send from MacBook...

Within the last few days, I am unable to send iMessages to contacts who are registered users of iMessage (and have been used numerous times). Oddly enough, some messages go out and are received while others get red flagged as undeliverable due to "not being registered? Any suggestions on how to correct this?

one more issue...If I send a message using my iPhone, it automatically syncs with my MacBook pro message but depending on the person, I can't reply.
