Does Apple have a site to report phishing emails?

I have received an email, supposedly from Apple, which I believe is a phishing email. Does Apple have a site where I can report this? What is the email address?

You should send the suspect email as an email attachment to reportphishing@apple.com . You probably won't get a response.

As to identifying a phishing email: Apple will always address you by name, not 'Dear Customer' or similar: all messages will come from the apple.com domain (though this can be forged). Apple will never email you telling you that your account has been suspended and asking you to 'verify' it. (If Apple do have to suspend your account for security reasons they won't tell you - they will wait for you to find out when you try to log in, and then contact them yourself). Similarly any message claiming you have a virus and should take some sort of action is a fake - no-one could remotely detect a virus even if it were possible for you to have one.

You can check the actual URL a link points to (which doesn't have to be the same as the one it claims to) by hovering the cursor over it; but you should never follow any such links anyway. If you want to check on the status of your account always go directly to https://apppleid.apple.com , never from links in such emails.
